Yes, I'm an Anarchist
Countering the charges of opposition and criticism from some quarters of media that the Aam Aadmi Party is endorsing anarchism on the streets of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal declared himself an anarchist. An anarchist, because he would disturb Sushil Shinde, he would disturb the present political discourse.
The dharna, earlier planned at the North Block eventually went on for 32 hours at a round about near the rail bhavan with thousands of Aam Aadmi supporters thronging the area barricaded by 500 policemen and armed personnel. The party declared to call off the protest only after Delhi lieutenant-general ordered the two concerned policemen to be sent on leave, who were responsible for separate incidents.
The idea of a ruling chief-minister sitting on roads for a dharna has left a strong section of media declaring Kejriwal irresponsible and anarchist. The two day high voltage protest has raised mixed views all across, but the Aam Aadmi Party has continuously put across that neither has governance suffered nor did their movement.
